WHAT IS CYFLY

CyFly is a more efficient, sustainable and accessible way to swim butterfly.

It’s easier to learn and easier to teach

The CyFly stroke is a long distance variation of butterfly. The technique has been modified to be more sustainable and less strenuouse on the body

The CyFly method is uses the principles behind the CyFly technique to make teaching butterfly easier. The CyFly method is a system of drills based off the CyFly technique that makes it easier for instructors to teach and quicker for students to learn.

CYFLY VS BUTTERFLY

Butterfly is defined by a simple set of rules: both arms must pull and recover simultaneously, and all kicks must be performed together.

Within those rules, there is still enormous freedom in how the stroke is executed.

CyFly is a new approach to butterfly that uses the same legal movements, but reimagines how those movements work together to make the stroke easier, safer, and more sustainable.

Traditional butterfly is a power-driven stroke that demands strength, coordination, and precise timing.

It is highly effective for speed, but the cost of that speed is increased energy expenditure and greater strain on the body over long distances.

CyFly is driven by timing, rhythm, and flow. By using buoyancy and momentum more effectively, swimmers can relax, conserve energy, and sustain butterfly over distances that were once considered impossible.
